the little things

What did you do?

• Tell a story - a story with pictures especially about when you found (or made) these little things:

                      Water Tank - made at the beginning to fill my canteen before every town.

                                    Knife - used to help kill the seeker, but that didn't work.

                                           Seeker Head - obtained by killing a seeker.

Totem Carving - found in a hut by a dead forest.

Wobbleheads - found in towns all across the map.

What did you learn?

• Are you advancing?
• I am advancing by always getting new materials to build my airship and finding metals to use for weaponry.

Always crouching when entering a town will make you harder to hear for the Seeker.

Fill your canteen with wells, and fill your water tank with buckets of water from the well whenever you can.

Next day, I will try to get more ammo for my revolver and enough bandages to take on the Seeker. In order to take it down, I need to hunt for gold, as that's the Seeker's weakness.

What did you learn?

                                                         You can now kill the NPC's.

                                  There is a new stamina bar when running from the seeker.

                                     There is new special collectibles.
What did you do today?

I met an old man and fulfilled quests for him.

I then explored his land and also stole everything he had.

                                I visited a dead tree forest and found a seeker claw, and lab equipment.










What will you do next day?

-the game continues - what will you do next?

     I'm planning on gathering as many bullets as I can to take down the seeker, and mine cactus for fiber to make more bandages. I would also like to expand my airship and expand it to a lower level.

What TYPE of game is this?

Desert Skies is a survival adventure type game based on upgrading your base and trying not to die. The game involves strategies to keep you alive, many different materials used to craft resources, and a tough health / hunger / thirst bar to keep you searching for medicine, food, and water.
What did you do yesterday to win the game?

I tried to gather as many resources as quickly as I can, as the Seeker can hear your  movement, and the longer you stay in one place, the easier you are to find. My strategies to face the Seeker involved getting to high ground, distracting it with far away noises, and most importantly moving.
Explain what you see and how to play the game.

When you first load the game, you see a deserted area with loot around and a wood platform with a hot air balloon. You power the balloon by gathering fuel by cutting trees, or mining coal. The goal in the game is to ultimately defeat the Seeker, but it's not an easy task. Using your balloon to advance to different locations for better loot, and gathering rare materials to build weapons.SIX- screenshots

What is your plan?

My plan is to gather the best resources to create a revolver and take down the seeker for good, and finish my research while upgrading my aircraft.

Step 1: Find your animals of choice, and open your files in photoshop.

Step 2: Find the animal you would like on your background, and then select what other animal parts you want to add to it.

Step 3: Begin to add the other animal parts to your base image using the "Lasso" tool, then pasting the selection onto the background.

Step 4: Once you have everything added, blur your animal parts using the "Blur" tool where they connect to the image so they look smoother.

Step 5: Correct any colour that is out of place to make the image flow better by selecting a layer, right clicking it and selecting "Color balance"

Step 6: Use the "Dodge" tool to lighten any dark areas of your project.

Step 7: Add your watermark, save your project as a .PNG file, and thats it.

Step 1: Open photoshop and select 2 animals of your choice. ·Does not have to be 2 animals, could be 1 animal and 1 object.
Step 2: Open your first animal and begin to border the body part you want to transfer using the  "Quick Selection" tool.                                                                                                                       

Ex.
Step 3: Open your second animal/object and paste the first body part you selected onto your second image.

Step 4: Begin to blend your animal into the second image using the "Blur" tool.

Step 5: Colour balance your animal part to match the colour of  what it's pasted on to.
Step 7: Smooth the edges of your animal part with the "Eraser" tool.
Step 8: Export the file as a .PNG and save it!
